Annual Ryegrass Seed (Gulf) : Annual ryegrass is very quick to germinate normally in a matter of 7 to 10 days. It is light green in color and grow great all winter. If left uncut it can grow 2 to 4 ft. tall. As a cover crop annual ryegrass will help to get rid of nematodes - eliminating the need for chemicals. It is an effective catch crop for soils with excess nitrogen and is great for erosion control and minimization of soil compaction. Ryegrass can be used for grazing of cattle, silage and hay production. For wildlife food plots annual ryegrass provides high-quality grazing and a quick source of energy for geese, ducks, wild turkeys, rabbits, deer and elk.

Seeding Rate : Over seeding 5 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft. ( 200 lbs. per acre )
New seeding 10 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft. ( 400 lbs. per acre )
Cover Crops : Drill 10 to 20 lb. per ac.
Broadcast 20 to 30 lb. per ac.

Planting Dates : Best planted in the fall ( Mid Sept to Mid Dec. )
