Kentucky 31 Fescue Grass Seed : K Y 31 fescue will normally germinate in a matter of 14 to 21 days. Fescue germinates best when the soil temperatures are between 50° and 65° degrees F. First introduced to the United States from Europe in the early 1800's. Desirable traits are handles traffic well, easy to establish and economical, attractive green color year round making K Y 31 ideal for average lawn and turf use. K Y 31 fescue grows best in full sun to medium shade needing 4 to 8 hours of sun daily.
Seeding Rate : Over seeding 5 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft. ( 200 lbs. per acre )
New seeding 10 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft. ( 400 lbs. per acre )
Planting Dates : Best planted in the fall ( Mid Sept to Mid Dec. )
