9-Way Protection: Combines immunogenic, attenuated strains of Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus Type 2 (CAV-2), Canine Parainfluenza, and Canine Parvovirus Type 2b. The diluent includes killed antigens for Leptospira Canicola-Grippotyphosa-Icterohaemorrhagiae-Pomona bacterial extract. The CAV-2 fraction also protects against respiratory infections caused by infectious canine hepatitis (CAV-1).
Economical Annual Booster: Provides comprehensive protection at an affordable price, making it an ideal choice for routine annual vaccination.
Dosage: 1 mL injected subcutaneously.
Preparation: Open the syringe by twisting or tapping the cap against a hard surface to break the heat weld. Inject the diluent into the vial containing the desiccated vaccine cake, shake well, and withdraw the entire contents into the syringe. Thoroughly prepare the injection site with antiseptic.
Subcutaneous Administration: Lift the loose skin behind the neck or front leg and insert the needle. Inject the entire contents of the syringe. Avoid injecting directly into a blood vessel.
Important Note: Before injecting, pull back slightly on the syringe plunger. If blood enters the syringe freely, choose another injection site.
Starting at 6 Weeks of Age: A recommended vaccination schedule should begin at or around 6 weeks of age due to the interference of maternal antibodies with active immunity.
Puppies: Vaccinate every 2 to 3 weeks until at least 16 weeks of age.
Dogs Over 12 Weeks of Age: Initially receive one dose of Spectra® 6 followed by a second dose 2 to 3 weeks later.
Annual Revaccination: A single dose is recommended annually to maintain immunity.
