Hickory King Corn: (90 Days ) Heirloom A great old open pollinated variety with white roasting ears 8 to 11 inches long and stalks that can reach 12’. Hickory King has extremely large and broad kernels, the largest of most any other variety of open pollinated corn . Produces about 2 ears per stalk. Used for making grits, meal, and tortilla flour, can be roasted or grilled at the stage when the corn is young and makes excellent hominy because of its large grain. . Husks are tighter than most varieties and give excellent protection from beetles and earworm. Has good tolerance to northern leaf blight and southern leaf blight.
